Hue is offering a variety of promotions for visitors during the year's third Golden Tourism Week at Hue Heritage Site, which last from December 24 to 31. 

More than 1,500 archaeological objects have been discovered and excavated My Son Sanctuary during a 10-year restoration project. An advanced database has been set up there to help manage and classify the objects. 

The Dong Nai provincial People’s Committee has approved a Provincial Action Programme on Tourism for the 2013-2020 period, which aims for the local tourism industry to attract 3.2 million visitors, including 70,000 million foreigners, and earning VND1,000 billion in total revenue.

 Dragonair of Cathay Pacific announced it will raise the number of weekly flights between Danang and Hong Kong to 7 from the current 4 as of December 18. The route was launched in late March 2013, and Danang is the airline’s second destination in Vietnam after Hanoi.

The Vietnam Guinness Book Center (VGBC) has recently completed the nominating procedure and sent to the Asian Guinness Organisation (AGO) to approve Hoi An Cao lau as (is) a famous specialty of Vietnam.

Central Da Nang city and Hoi An town (Quang Nam province) have recently been chosen for the 2013 Asian Townscape Award by UN-Habitat Regional Office in Asia. The award honors cities, region which are considered outstanding in landscape architecture.
