This mesmerising holiday offers extensive touring of the incredible temples of Angkor Wat and the remains of the Khmer Empire, an ancient and beautiful civilisation whose mystery is enhanced by the jungle setting and intricate architecture. Highlights of this holiday include the historical French-built capital of Phnom Penh, a cruise on the beautiful Lake Tonle Sap, the lesser visited temples of Kompong Thom, the vibrant Saigon and Cu Chi Tunnels.

DAY 1: PHNOM PENH ARRIVAL (D)

Welcome to Phnompenh, the capital of Cambodia and the country's commercial, economic and political center. Upon arrival you will be met our guide at the airport then transferred to city center for welcome dinner.
Overnight in Phnompenh. 

DAY 2: PHNOM PENH SIGHTS (B/L/D)

After breakfast, we commence a full day excursion of the capital city with a first visit to The Royal Palace, constructed over a century ago to serve as the residence of the King of Cambodia, his family and foreign dignitaries, as a venue for the performance of court ceremony and ritual and as a symbol of the Kingdom. It serves to this day as the Cambodian home of King Norodom Sihamoni and former King Norodom Sihanouk. The Royal Palace complex consists of several buildings, structures, gardens and especially Silver Pagoda sitting next to the Royal Palace, built in 1962 famous for its lavish decorations of silver paved floor and several Buddha statues made from precious metals & stones. Followed by visiting to a nearby National Museum, dedicated by King Sisowath in 1920; with over 5000 objects are on display including Angkorian era statues, lingas and other artifacts, most notably the legendary statue of the ‘Leper King.’ It not only emphasizes Angkorian artifacts but also display a good collection of pieces from later periods, including a special exhibition of post-Angkorian Buddha figures. After lunch, we spend the rest of the day is to visit to Toul Sleng Genocide Museum, once a high school, the S-21 prison under the rule of the Khmer Rouge and today The Tuol Sleng serves as a museum where thousands of photos of victims are displayed, Independent Monument and central market or Russia market before dinner will be served at local restaurant.

DAY 3: PHNOM PENH - SIEM REAP (B/L/D)

After breakfast, we take a short flight to Siemreap City, one of the most famous travel destinations. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to restaurant for your lunch. We spend the rest of the day visiting to Angkor site, a UNESCO World Heritage, is home to the magnificent Khmer temple ruins of Angkor, including the legendary Angkor Wat, Bayon and dozens of other ancient ruins of the Angkorian era (9th-13th century) Khmer Empire. Starting with a first visit to the legendary Angkor Wat, built for king Suryavarman II in the early 12th century as his state temple and capital city, the largest and best-preserved temple at the site, it is also the only one to have remained a significant religious centre-first Hindu, then Buddhist-since its foundation. We end the excursion by climbing up Bakheng Mountain for stunning sunset and panoramic views of Angkor Wat and its environs. Buffet dinner with Apsara Dance Show in local restaurant.
Overnight in Siem Reap. 

DAY 4: SIEM REAP - SAIGON (B/L/D)

After breakfast, the morning sightseeing tour include a visit to the former capital Angkor Thom, home to dozens of temples including the enigmatic faces of Bayon, the imposing Terrace of the Elephants, and the three-tiered Baphuon. Preah Khan is a huge, highly explorable monastic complex with full of carvings, passages and photo opportunities. It originally served as a Buddhist monastery and school, engaging over 1000 monks. We continue to discover Ta Prohm Temple unlike most of the other Angkor temples, Ta Prohm has been left just it was founded: the photogenic and atmospheric combination of trees growing out of the ruins and the jungle surroundings have made it one of Angkor's most popular temples with visitors. After lunch, we transfer you to Siemreap airport for short flight to Saigon. Upon arrival, you will be met at the airport and transferred to hotel for check in; you’re free at leisure until welcome dinner will be served at a local restaurant.

DAY 5: SAIGON - CU CHI TUNNELS (B/L/D)

 After breakfast, we commence a day tour with a visit to Cuchi Tunnels, located 70km northwest of Ho Chi Minh City, built and used by the Viet Cong during Vietnam War. It took 25 years to construct this tunnel and it stands today as a symbol of struggle of the Vietnamese people. This Tunnel consists of more than 200km of underground tunnels, many branches connecting to underground hideouts, shelters, and entrances to other tunnels and home to more than 16,000 communist guerillas and sympathizers during the war. The underground network provided sleeping quarters, meeting rooms, hospitals, and other social rooms. Visiting the Cu Chi Tunnels provides a better understanding of the prolonged resistance war and also of the persistent and clever character of the Vietnamese.

Back to Ho Chi Minh for lunch, then take a city tour with a visit to the Independence Palace, formerly the Presidential Palace, the home to the last 3 President of South Vietnam; Gothic-style Notre Dame Cathedral, the city’s main Catholic cathedral built by the French in the 1880s. The Cathedral’s twin spires were for decades the city best-known landmark; War Museum which exhibits photographs and weapons of the Vietnam War. Followed by shopping at Ben Thanh Market, the city’s central market that is packed with all kinds of local wares and souvenirs famous for wholesaler trading before enjoying farewell dinner will be served on traditional junk boat while cruising along the Saigon River
Overnight at hotel.

DAY 6: SAIGON - HANOI - HA LONG (B/L/D)

Transfer you to Tan Son Nhat Airport for taking a morning flight to Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam and the country's second largest city, renowned as the ‘Paris of the East’; and one of Asia’s most fascinating cities. The city is rich in culture and history, this diverse city draws on its influences from both French and Chinese culture. You will be met at the airport then transfer to Hanoi to commence a city tour with the first visit to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Residence, One-Pillar Pagoda nearby. The excursion continues with the visit of the Temple of Literature, built in the 11th century as Vietnam’s first university. After lunch, we spend 3 hours driving to Halong, located 160 km from Hanoi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, a famous travel destination in which a thousands of islands with various sizes and shapes rising from clear, emerald waters and world famous caves.
Overnight in Halong. 

DAY 7: HA LONG - HANOI (B/L/D)

After breakfast, we enjoy a great 4 hours cruise on a traditional junk to explore the spectacular Halong bay – the Natural Wonders of the World. The picturesque of Halong Bay has more than 2000 limestone islets rising from the clear emerald water, many of them containing beautiful grottoes. Our cruise will pass by beautiful sights of the Sail Island, Fighting Cocks Island, and Dog Stone Island in turn; we will also pay a visit to the beautiful Thien Cung and Dau Go grotto. After your lunch will be served on board and the cruise head back to the harbor around noon. We take our van back to Hanoi. Upon arrival, you have a short visit to Dong Xuan Market before attending one hour water puppet show.
Overnight in Hanoi. 

DAY 8: HANOI DEPARTURE (B)

After breakfast, you will be free at leisure until time to transfer to airport for your onward flight. End of service.
