DAY 1: HANOI ARRIVAL - LAO CAI (D)

Welcome to Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam and the country's second largest city, renowned as the ‘Paris of the East’; and one of Asia’s most fascinating cities. The city is rich in culture and history, this diverse city draws on its influences from both French and Chinese culture. You will be met at the airport then transfer to your hotel in Hanoi. The rest of the day is free at leisure, you will enjoy an early dinner at restaurant before boarding the overnight train to Lao Cai.  

DAY 2: LAOCAI - BAC HA - SAPA (B/L/D)

Lao Cai arrival in the early morning, after breakfast we then transfer you along terraced hillsides to Bacha colorful market, located 90km from Laocai and over 2 hours by car. Here, you have a great chance to explore the Bac Ha Market; it’s one of the biggest and colorful markets in the North West area it opens on Sunday only. It’s not only the trading center but it’s also the place for couples, friends and relatives. In the market, you can enjoy the simple but unique kinds of food and special wines made from corn and many kinds of fruits such as plumps, apples and peach. After leaving the market it’s time to see the H'mong King's house (King Hoang A Tuong) built by the French colonists and the Chinese between 1914 and 1921. In the late afternoon we leave Bac Ha for Sapa, after dinner you’re free at leisure

DAY 3: SAPA - CAT CAT VILLAGE (B/L/D)

Arrive Lao Cai in the early morning and transfer along terraced hillsides to Sapa, home to some of Vietnam's most colorful ethnic groups. On the way enjoy panoramic views of mountains and valleys in the region. After breakfast, begin your tour with a short hike along a narrow trail through beautiful gardens to Cat Cat Village, the home of Black H'mong ethnic minority. You have a chance to visit and meet with local one to share cultural experiences with families here and see the hydroelectric power station was built by the French. Dinner then evening free for leisure to explore the town.

DAY 4: LAO CHAI - TA VAN VILLAGE - HANOI (B/L/D)

Today, we start a full day tour by driving 7km towards to Lao Chai, we then embark on a lovely trek that will take us along buffalo paths and trails through the valleys between mountains, enjoy the overall pictures of the village among terraces. This is an absolutely spectacular walk through stunning scenery inhabited by some of the friendliest people you can meet. Continue going to Ta Van Village to visit the Dzay tribe. Dzay is a fairly small minority group of about 38.000 people who live mainly in Vietnam’s northwest mountains. The development has meant that some of their old customs have been lost but many women still wear traditional shirts with a purple, blue or green color. The Dzay’s traditional houses are built of wood and bamboo with a clay floor. It gives you a worth chance for you to learn about the local house architecture which is full of their daily life styles and exclusive custom. Drive back Lao Cai in the late afternoon then get the night train to Hanoi. 

DAY 5: HANOI EXCURSION (B/L/D)

Hanoi arrival in the early morning, after breakfast, we commence our exploration of Hanoi by visiting Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Residence, One-Pillar Pagoda nearby. The excursion continues with the visit of the Temple of Literature, built in the 11th century as Vietnam’s first university.
In late the afternoon we join a fascinating Cyclo trip to explore the bustling Old Quarter and the 36 “Guild streets”. Here many tiny streets join to sell a huge diversity of products. In the old days, each street bore the name of the product sold - “Shoe Street”, “Noodle Street” and the like. Today, the streets sometimes sell a variety of items, but often the names are accurate. The Old Quarter also houses some of the most interesting art galleries and fashion houses. Leaving the cyclo, you will walk around the Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Son Temple before attending a famous Water Puppet show.

DAY 6: DEPARTURE (B)

After breakfast, you will be free at leisure until time to transfer to airport for your onward flight. End of service.

  • Accommodation based on twin/double shared room with daily breakfast.
